If a person has an insertable cardiac monitor (ICM), and someone steals their phone, can they see their heart data?

If someone with an ICM or loop recorder is using an app to manage their heart monitor, that app will be impacted by the theft in the same way that other apps on the phone would be. Whatever information can normally be accessed on the app about the heart monitor may be accessible to someone else using that phone. However, the way the ICM works can't be impacted or altered by anyone else using that phone. A person with an ICM should practice good security measures with their phone, including setting up a pin, strong passwords, or other security access codes on their phone.
