If an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) patient is in a pool while receiving a shock, will others in the pool get shocked as well?
Others in the pool may feel something only if they are in direct contact with the patient when the shock occurs, but they will not be shocked. Those not in direct contact will not feel anything.
