ST.BARTHOLOMEW'S HOSPITAL

At St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, Arctic Front Advance™ Cryoballoon procedures are performed in a day case model, a weekly Cryo list is performed in a previously unused Interventional Radiology Lab, optimising best use of hospital resources in order to keep waiting lists down.

To further improve procedure efficiency whilst preserving safety, they developed a concise Standard Operation Procedure specifically for the IR lab.

The team performs four Cryoballoon ablation procedures per weekly “cryo list”, with an average procedure duration < 60 minutes.

Dr Ross Hunter (Electrophysiologist), Dr Malcolm Finlay (Electrophysiologist) and Natasha Bloodworth (Cardiac Physiologist) lead the Arctic Front™ Procedure Optimisation course at St. Bart’s.
Each course leader has extensive Arctic Front Advance™ Cryoballoon experience.
