DESCRIPTION

The T1 International Center of Reference Develop courses are organized for both adult and paediatric care. 

The starting point for each of these courses is the importance of the multi-disciplinary team approach in the treatment of your patients. Not only will you be challenged in the optimal SAP use by the analysis of multiple case studies during small group work, the philosophy of whole integrated care approach is common to all of these leading host centres.  Psychological aspects of education come more and more to the forefront.

AUDIENCE

Participants should have experience in the general treatment of type 1 diabetes and have some experience of CSII therapy but not necessarily experience in using continuous glucose monitoring therapy (CGM) as a tool in optimizing pump treatment.

 

OBJECTIVE

The aim is to help HCPs to become independent to start and follow-up patient on CSII & SAP with best possible treatment outcome using all available features and therapy management tools.

  • Develop Paediatric Course – 1.5 days, running once per year, at The University Children’s Hospital, Ljubljana by Prof. T. Battelino and Prof. N. Bratina and team
  • Develop Adult Course – 2 days, running three times per year, in Copenhagen, Denmark by Dr Kirsten Nørgaard and her team 

 

PREREQUISITES

Participants should send 1 patient case in to the faculty a minimum of 1 week before event.

 

FORMAT

The course will be interactive and advance hands-on experience with a variety of teaching methods as short lectures, group work, practical work and session with discussions.
