BARRXTM RADIOFREQUENCY ABLATION SYSTEM (RFA) BASIC COURSE

DESCRIPTION

The Master Class starts with a review of the latest clinical data supporting RFA treating Barrett's Esophagus (BE), how BE is detected and diagnosed, and an overview of the BarrxTM RFA System.

During the second day, participants observe live RFA cases, and are involved in discussions around diagnosis, choice of therapy and challenges. Participants have hands-on time with the BarrxTM RFA System using EASIE models. Afterwards, the trainers will provide a presentation on challenges in Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR) and RFA.

AUDIENCE

For Gastroenterologists, GI Interventional, GI Surgeons and other specialties interested in understanding the diagnosis of Esophageal Diseases thanks to the EndoflipTM Impedance Planimetry System.

OBJECTIVE

By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:

  • Effectively use BarrxTM products (focal catheters and 360 express RFA) during a BE treatment procedure 
  • Perform endoscopic ablation procedural steps
  • Improve the BE patient management

  • Day 1: Arrival flight landing no later than 11.00.
    Beginning of Master Class Day 1 at 12.00 with lunch.

  • Day 2: Meeting at UZ Leuven Hospital at 08:45 for live DEMO.
    Flight departing earliest at 17.30 from Brussels Airport.
