Objective of the programme
This program offers teams or individual surgeons, pulmonologists, anesthetists and nurses the opportunity to develop your skills in both VATS procedures and the diagnostic and management procedures of ENB/Superdimension. This way improving outcomes for patients and for HCPs alike.
The Lung Health Educational Program runs throughout the year with a selection of dates for each course. All the Medtronic Lung Health courses take place in world leading institutions, or Medtronic facilities. They provide multiple opportunities to observe patient cases and learn from experts in the best practice in treating lung conditions.
As a course delegate, you will follow a defined learning curriculum, including exposure to simulation, live surgical cases, patient case discussions and patient environment best practices. You will also be introduced to non-technical skills team training and best practical ways to set up a team and the operating environment. A Medtronic representative will be your direct contact during your educational journey. Following certain clinical immersions, you will be also having the opportunity to have Mentorships within your own hospital environments to help adopt new procedures and identify challenges and resolve them together. The curriculum will cover innovation in training such as simulation and robotic surgery.

Following training there will be regular follow up and mentorship if required to ensure best and safe practices which leads to the best outcomes for patients and healthcare professionals.
