DESCRIPTION

This two-day course is designed to support a transfer of knowledge and experience on the DBS for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. This course also offers the opportunity to follow a live-case and participate in the ward visit. 

This course is offered in partnership with European Continuous Medical Training (ECMT).

AUDIENCE

For neurologists and stereotactic neurosurgeons who wish to offer DBS to their patients and wish to expand their knowledge in the application of DBS therapy for movement disorder.

OBJECTIVE

At the end of this training, participants will: 

  • Select and evaluate patients
  • Understand how to perform the neurological tests during surgery
  • Program and troubleshoot neurostimulation with basic and advances settings
  • Follow-up patients
