In 2018 Prof Vincent Costalat, Dr Grégory Gascou and the department performed a total of about 2,000 intracranial procedures including 400 intracranial embolisation of aneurysms and 450 Acute Ischemic Stroke events.

The Faculty of Medicine of Montpellier, created in the 12th century, is the oldest practicing medical faculty in the world. It has welcomed scholars and scientists from all eras and origins. Rabelais, Lapeyronie, Chaptal, Arnaud de Villeneuve, Gui de Chauliac have marked its history.

FORMAT 

For the Stroke Academy Module 6, three participants will be completing their clinical immersion at this centre for a duration of 4 days.

Arrival is on the evening prior to the first day.

Departure on day four of the programme after 16:00.

PREREQUISITES 

Learners must have completed all modules leading up to this session in order to participate in the clinical immersion.
