DESCRIPTION
This course is designed for physicians to improve their practice in the application of Sacral Neuromodulation for the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunctions. The course combines theoretical learning and case analysis of pelvic floor dysfunctions treatments, such as: urinary incontinence, non-obstructive urinary retention and fecal incontinence.
It covers insights and updates on the current literature, and clinical practice, as well as addresses current debates and challenges in Sacral Neuromodulation. This course focuses also on advanced programming and troubleshooting, as well as how to optimize patient selection, implant procedure and patient management.
This workshop is offered in partnership with European Continuous Medical Training (ECMT).
AUDIENCE
The course is designed for multidisciplinary specialties already offering Sacral Neuromodulation for the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunctions in their institutions. The course is aimed at participants with a substantial experience with the implant procedure and patient management, performing at least 10 cases per year.

OBJECTIVE
At the end of this training, participants will understand:
- How to select patients for Sacral Neuromodulation based on the latest guidelines and recommendations with an emphasis on challenging patient selection cases.
- How to manage and optimize the implant procedure to reduce side effects and complications
- How to program the device with advanced features to optimally manage patients in the long-term
- How to manage difficult cases and challenging patient populations.
