DESCRIPTION
This course is designed for physicians who are interested in starting and expanding their knowledge of Sacral Neuromodulation for the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunctions. The course combines theoretical learning and cadaver hands-on experience.
This program addresses the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunctions, such as: overactive bladder, nonobstructive urinary retention and fecal incontinence.
It covers essential concepts, such as: the basics of neuromodulation of the lower urinary tract and of the bowel dysfunction, patient selection, clinical evidence, basics of the programming and the different stages of the standardized implant technique.
This workshop is offered in partnership with European Continuous Medical Training (ECMT).
AUDIENCE
This workshop is designed for multidisciplinary specialties that plan to use Sacral Neuromodulation for the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunctions in their institutions. Participants should have basic knowledge of Sacral Neuromodulation, having observed or performed up to 5 cases.

OBJECTIVE
At the end of this training, participants will have a better understanding of:
- Select and evaluate patients for bladder and bowel neuromodulation therapy
- Use X-ray for the right positioning of the electrodes
- Perform a Sacral neuromodulation optimized implant techniques with InterStim™ system
- Program the InterStim™ system
- Troubleshooting and manage difficult cases
- Manage patients post-operatively
