CONTENT AND FORMAT

This educational forum addresses the treatment of adult deformity and adolescent idiopathic scoliosis.

Complex cases management and advanced techniques such as pedicle subtraction osteotomy (PSO), navigated thoracic screw placement, iliac fixation, VCR for severe curves correction, derotation technique and anterior tethering will be discussed among the group.

The incidence of the cervical spine in the treatment of deformity patients and other key deformity concepts will also be discussed. The format will include expert’s opinion, lectures and debates.

During the interactive plenary sessions, the participants will discuss on patient selection and treatment options.

Attendees will get the opportunity to discuss in small groups and interact with selected deformity experts.

Audience

This advanced training is dedicated to surgeons experienced in the treatment of adult deformity and adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, having at least 5 years of practice for these types of surgeries, and willing to reinforce their knowledge by interacting with experts and peers. This course will allow the participants to strengthen their knowledge and expertise in the treatment of more complex cases and techniques. 
Attendees should perform more than 40 deformity cases per year.

Objective
