System Components – pairing CLP with pump & App

SynchroMed™ II Clinician Programmer System Components

In this lesson you will learn about the pairing of the communicator with the clinician programmer and the interrogation of the pump.
OPEN LESSON 1

Introduction to the clinician programmer

This lesson will teach you about the clinician programmer. In this lesson, you will learn about: the characteristics, features and benefits of the clinician programmer, and navigating the clinician programmer.
OPEN LESSON 2

APP SCREEN PART 1-3 & CLP COMMUNICATOR

Clinician programmer screen navigation: Part 1

This lesson will introduce you to several of the screens in the clinician programmer for the SynchroMed™ II Drug Infusion system. You will learn how to use the following screens: patient screen, pump screen, catheter screen, drugs screen, and the reservoir screen.
OPEN LESSON 3

Clinician programmer screen navigation: Part 2

This lesson will focus on the Infusion and Bolus screens in the clinician programmer for the SynchroMed™ II Drug Infusion System.
OPEN LESSON 4

Clinician programmer screen navigation: Part 3

This lesson will introduce you to the following screens in the clinician programmer application for the SynchroMed™ II Drug Infusion system: personal therapy manager (myPTM™), alarms, discontinue therapy, and finish.
OPEN LESSON 5

Communicator

This lesson introduces the features and functionality of the clinician communicator. In this lesson you will learn: the characteristics, features and benefits of the clinician communicator, the components for programming for SynchroMed™ II Drug Infusion System, and how to use the communicator to communicate with the clinician programmer and the pump.
OPEN LESSON 6

how to implant, replace pump, refill and adjust

Implant/Replace Pump Workflow

This lesson will demonstrate the Implant/Replace Pump workflow. After this lesson, you will be able to explain when and how to use the Implant/Replace Pump workflow and demonstrate how to use the workflow in demo mode. This workflow guides the user through the programming steps for implanting a new pump. It contains all of the screens from the clinician programmer.
OPEN LESSON 7

Refill and adjust Workflow

This lesson will demonstrate the Refill and Adjust workflow. After this lesson you will be able to explain when and how to use the Refill and Adjust workflow and demonstrate how to use the workflow in Demo mode. This workflow guides the user through the programming steps for refilling the pump and changing infusion settings. This is the default workflow that deploys after interrogating the pump.
OPEN LESSON 8

how to REVISE CATHETER, DISCONTINUE THERAPY & access PATIENT DATA SERVICES

Revise catheter Workflow

This lesson will demonstrate the Revise Catheter workflow. After this lesson you will be able to explain when and how to use the Revise Catheter workflow and demonstrate how to use the workflow in Demo mode. This workflow guides the user through revising the catheter.
OPEN LESSON 9

Discontinue therapy Workflow

This lesson will demonstrate the Discontinue Therapy workflow. After this lesson, you will be able to explain when and how to use this workflow and demonstrate how to use the workflow in Demo mode. This workflow guides the user through discontinuing the therapy that the pump is providing.
OPEN LESSON 10

Patient data service, reports, alerts, logs and technical support

This lesson will demonstrate the Patient Data Service application, reports, alerts, logs and how to get help from Medtronic Technical Support. After this lesson, you will be able to: describe the Patient Data Service application, demonstrate how to access and use SynchroMed™ II Drug Infusion System reports, explain the various alerts and what they mean, and understand Pump Activity Logs and how to access them.
