Mark Ploof is Senior Vice President of Global Operations and Business Services for Medtronic. A member of the Executive Committee, Mark leads a global organization focused on delivering high-quality products, technologies and services to help Medtronic exceed the expectations of patients, customers, employees and shareholders every day. This team includes Global Operations centers of excellence, comprised of Supply Management, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain, and Business Services, comprised of enterprise functions including IT, Enterprise Excellence and Operational Risk Management and Facilities.

Mark joined Medtronic in October 2016 following more than 25 years in leadership roles across a variety of industries where he established large-scale operational and service models that realized significant improvements in quality, delivery and cost. Mark joined Medtronic from YP, LLC where he first served as Chief Restructuring Officer focused on YP’s spin-off from AT&T before becoming Chief Customer Experience Officer. In this role, Mark transformed and ran YP’s end-to-end operations, including go-to-market strategies, advertising production, call center/field service operations for sales representatives and customers, and quality and business analytics functions. Collectively, these efforts delivered significantly-improved employee and customer engagement and satisfaction scores for YP.

Previously, Mark held senior operational leadership roles with a variety of Cerberus Capital Management portfolio companies where he repeatedly assessed, diagnosed and created opportunities to institute new models for operating at scale and unlocking value. This included creating and executing company integration plans and programs; consolidating supply chains and facility footprints; establishing shared services and centers of excellence; and aligning organizations to drive execution. Mark started his career with General Electric where he held a variety of roles within Finance, Business Development and Operations. He also led Supply Chain Operations for GE Medical Systems’ Ultrasound Division.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management from Pace University.
