My role is to lead the Restorative Therapies Group (RTG) organization in EMEA. It consists in setting the strategic direction with a target to innovate our value proposition to our patients, transform our organization, so we increase our customer experience and focus on improving patient access to our therapies.
I will highlight only four of them that stretched me in my learning experience: I started as a Sales Representative, then moved to a General Manager role, then to a Vice President Europe position and finally to my current role of Vice President Restorative Therapies Group EMEA.
The impact I have on and the accountability I have for the organization in terms of contributing to improving patients’ lives and growing the skills and competences of our RTG employees.
The patient-driven mission and the large and diverse scale of our company, where current and potential employees can develop themselves through a lot of job opportunities.
With some of our therapies, we really help hospitals to optimize their patient pathways, so that they can treat more patients and provide them with a much better quality of life. This is the most rewarding part of our role in Medtronic.
I have a lot of memorable experiences. However, if I need to choose one, it is the step in my career from an individual contributor to a leader role. It is such a different and more demanding role, in which I made a lot of mistakes, but it was also the best learning experience.
