The MyCareLink Monitor allows you to send data from your implanted heart device from home for your doctor or clinic to review. The unit is small, portable, and very easy to use.
Some implanted heart devices work automatically (wirelessly). These devices are designed to automatically connect with your MyCareLink monitor at home without any input from you, usually whilst you sleep. For this reason the best place for your MyCareLink montor is by your bedside. Your doctor will let you know if you have an automatic device.
The monitor is very easy to set up and use. You will find instructions in the box. Please review these instructions before using your monitor.
If you have questions about your monitor, contact your clinic or Medtronic Patient Services at Patient helpline on 0330 123 2112
You may find the following website useful with lots of information about how to set up and operate your MyCareLink Monitor
Yes. The monitor weighs about a pound, fits in a suitcase, and should pass easily through airport security. Make sure to bring your Device Identification Card in case you are questioned by airport security. The monitor works via a SIM card just like a mobile phone so as long as the country has cellular signal it should work as normal but in case of questions please call the Patient helpline on 0330 123 2112.
