MRI & Your CRT-D DEVICE

Heart Failure

Traditionally, most CRTs were not considered safe in a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) environment because the MRI could change the settings, temporarily affect the normal operation of or potentially damage the CRT.

Medtronic has CRT-D systems which are FDA approved for use in the MRI environment. The CRT-D system has a unique design, so that under specific conditions, you may safely undergo MRI scans.

Please check with your doctor if your device is:

  • NOT an Amplia MRI™ or Compia MRI™ SureScan™ CRT-D System
  • A CRT-P system
