In my position, every day is different and unpredictable. The biggest tasks are internal communication by supporting the reps and customer service with product related questions, developing individual marketing concepts, analyzing sales and market trends, preparing product launches and driving market development for special therapies, as well as cooperating with the European headquarters. The job also involves a lot of travelling to customer meetings, congress participation and internal European meetings. This diversification makes this job very challenging and fascinating at the same time.
Working for Medtronic is not just a job. Working for Medtronic to me means contributing to the well-being of humans around the world. Within Surgical Technologies our main goal is to make surgeries safer, quicker and more precise. Knowing I have an influence on the positive result of a surgery makes me push myself the extra mile.
I love my job because of the diversity in my every day work and within the company's broad portfolio, the freedom of creativity and being heard. Additionally, the friendly and relaxed working atmosphere and respectful relationships between employees is great.
At Medtronic, I most appreciate that humans are treated as humans. Within Medtronic we have a very friendly and respectful cooperation and flat hierarchies.
My greatest accomplishment was establishing a German Surgical Technologies marketing department which has not existed before. This included basics such as setting up new price lists for our customers or developing German product brochures as well as defining new communication strategies or initiating market development projects. For this project I received the European Surgical Technologies Marketing award in 2012.
I am located at the German office in Meerbusch just outside of Düsseldorf. Düsseldorf is a city of 600,000 and is located right at the river Rhein. We have beautiful historic sites such as old town and the Rhein promenade, as well as the famous shopping street Königsallee.
Every year, Medtronic invests at least 10% of its revenue in research and development and is continuously developing the latest medical devices and technologies for increasing humans' quality of life.
If you are interested in contributing to the well-being of others and you are willing to always go the extra step, Medtronic is waiting for you.
"Wer kämpft, kann verlieren. Wer nicht kämpft, hat schon verloren" – Bertolt Brecht, meaning: "Somebody who is fighting can lose. Somebody who is not fighting has already lost."
I try to maintain my work life balance by exercising. I really like to dance or jog outside. During vacations, I enjoy travelling around the world and learning about new people and cultures.
