SOCIAL MEDIA COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

We're looking forward to open communication with you on social media; however, sometimes we might need to remove your comment from our channel to meet industry regulations and uphold the intent of our social media communities. Sometimes we may have to remove:

Comments Containing Unapproved Products or Off-Label Uses

Our social media channels are created for people in the United States. Therefore, we cannot discuss any products that are not approved for use in the U.S. by the Food and Drug Administration. We will have to remove any comments about unapproved products, competitors’ products, or the use of our products in a way that is not indicated by the Food and Drug Administration (otherwise known as 'off-label use').

Comments Containing Vulgarity

We want to provide respectful and welcoming communities for all. Comments that use profanity, hate speech, or other offensive language will be deleted.

Comments That Are Off-Topic

We want it to be easy for our followers to find relevant and useful information on our channels. Sometimes comments are posted that are off-topic, make unsupported accusations or claims, contain misleading information, promote the buying and selling of goods or services, or spam. These comments deter from our channels’ intent and will be removed.

Comments Seeking or Containing Medical Advice

We love sharing tips for living a healthy, full life. But please remember that our channels are for general information and are not an official outlet of medical advice or a replacement for advice from your doctor. Medtronic does not practice medicine or provide medical services or advice and the information on our social media channels should not be considered medical advice. If you are experiencing side effects or other medical problems, please consult a healthcare professional for diagnosis and treatment.

Comments Containing Personally Identifiable Information

For your protection, we will remove any posts from our channels that contain personal identifiable information about you or someone you know, including a phone number, address, email or date of birth.

Comments About Customer Service Issues

We'll try to address as many of your customer service questions as we can. However, sometimes to protect your privacy and personal information, we may have to take our conversation offline. We are eager to resolve any issue you may have. You can reach us through our Contact Us form.

Please know that Medtronic does reserve the right to delete any posting at its sole discretion that affects the integrity of our social media communities.

All users must comply with the social media platforms’ Terms of Use and these community guidelines.

California has listed an expectation for disclosure. See the revised Medtronic.com privacy statement that includes the CalOPPA info.

We appreciate your feedback and value transparency; thank you for making our social media communities safe and welcoming.
