FlowMet™*-R Intraprocedural Monitoring System

When it comes to gauging the impact of a PAD revascularization, angiography cannot fully assess distal blood flow.1

Is there enough flow to heal a wound or save a limb?

The FlowMet™*-R System

  • Supplements angiography for real-time procedural insight2
  • Quantifies and characterizes blood flow2
  • Monitors changes throughout the case
  • Requires no contrast or fluoroscopic exposure with noninvasive, two-step setup

FlowMet-R tablet with sensor attached.

  1. Flow Index Measurement
Quantifies blood flow using a numeric scale
  2. Velocity Waveform
Enables the characterization of blood flow as normal or abnormal, similar to Doppler waveforms2

Close-up of display on a FlowMet-R tablet.
4 schematics of vessels showing normal, mild, moderate, and severe PAD and the associated velocity waveforms measured by Doppler.

Vessel Disease and Waveforms

The presence of vascular disease alters velocity waveforms. The more severe the disease, the more abnormal the waveform will appear.3

How It Works

  • Place sensor on patient's toe at start of procedure
  • Laser light is transmitted through the digit, creating a speckle pattern
  • Red blood cell movement alters this pattern and real-time changes are reflected on-screen2

FlowMet-R sensor clipped to a person's toe.
