Programmer Deep Brain Stimulation for Dystonia
You may use your patient programmer to turn your dystonia* therapy on or off and check the battery. You may also be able to adjust the stimulation within options programmed by your doctor.
There are three models of patient programmer.

|Battery is okay.|
|Battery is close to depletion.|
|Call your clinician. The neurostimulator battery is close to depletion. Therapy will not be available soon.|
|Call your clinician immediately to schedule replacement surgery. The neurostimulator battery is depleted and your neurostimulator is no longer delivering therapy.|

*Humanitarian Device - Authorized by Federal Law as an aid in the management of chronic, intractable (drug refractory) primary dystonia, including generalized and/or segmental dystonia, hemidystonia, and cervical dystonia (torticollis), in patients seven years of age or above. The effectiveness of the devices for treating these conditions has not been demonstrated.
