This wearable physiological monitor can be a good solution for patients who find wired sensors uncomfortable or don’t like being tethered to a bed. In addition, it can provide an alternative to telemetry monitoring for non-cardiac patients.1

Help Manage Patient Repositioning

The Vital Sync™ physiologic patch includes the Vital Sync™ patient repositioning feature, which is designed to facilitate your pressure ulcer repositioning protocol. This feature may help you reduce the risk of pressure ulcers, the most common hospital-acquired condition. The system’s turn-time feature signals when a patient needs to be repositioned. And in cases where patients reposition themselves, the turn-time feature resets — giving you time back.

Collect Patient Data Continuously

This lightweight and comfortable device continuously collects physiological parameters and transmits that information every 60 seconds to the Vital Sync™ remote monitoring software platform. This information can then be viewed on any web-enabled device.

The Vital Sync™ physiological patch provides a 30-second, single-lead ECG that records, either automatically or on demand, when a patient’s heart or respiration rate crosses user-assigned thresholds. Capabilities include configurable patient alerting thresholds.

Continually Calculate Measurement Confidence

Heart rate confidence and respiratory rate confidence are continually calculated using signal-to-noise ratio and other parameters that indicate the device is worn. The scale used to describe this is called “confidence.” This indication is used in conjunction with its associated value (e.g. heart rate and heart rate confidence).
