Overview

Moving pulse oximetry from the monitor to a smart cable for flexible, durable, plug-and-care simplicity. That’s how we’re bringing the power of Nellcor™ technology forward, into the future.

With easy software integration, OEM partners now can offer Nellcor™ pulse oximetry by simply connecting the Nellcor™ OxiCable to enabled multiparameter monitors. This external solution is designed for new and existing OEM partner platforms. Built with the Nellcor™ low power pulse oximetry PCBA, the cable is engineered to deliver the clinical performance and reliability of Nellcor™ pulse oximetry — without requiring internal space on the OEM partner monitor.

It is designed with a standard 2.0 USB connector to provide easy plug-in operation on multiparameter monitors enabled with Nellcor™ pulse oximetry.  And it provides an additional safety feature — a patient isolation module.

FUTURE. FORWARD.

The power of Nellcor™ pulse oximetry technology — in plug-and-care cable.

Flexible, durable. And engineered for simplified workflow. The compact, all-in-one Nellcor™ OxiCable moves our dependable Nellcor™ pulse oximetry monitoring out of the monitor and into an innovative, ruggedized parameter cable.  Upgraded through software updates—without hardware changes.

Parameters

Vital parameters clinicians rely on for patient care:

  • SpO2
  • Pulse rate
  • Pulse strength reporting (percent modulation of IR input) as an optional feature

Clinical Tools

Key tools to help clinicians manage workflow — and their patients, are part of the technology embedded in the Nellcor™ OxiCable:

  • 8-bit plethysmograph waveform
  • Pulse amplitude “blip” bar as a visual indication of signal strength and the accuracy of SpO2 sensor application
  • Clinician-controlled Nellcor™ SatSeconds alarm management
  • Alarm categorization and notification
  • The Nellcor™ pulse oximetry monitoring system should not be used as the sole basis for diagnosis or therapy and is intended only as an adjunct in patient assessment.

  • *This mode limits the maximum power consumption of the PCBA to less than 50 mW for all monitoring conditions.
