Backbiting Forceps for Sinus Surgery
Specialized backbiters for sinus surgery enable strong, precise cutting
Pediatric mini-forceps facilitate access to hard-to-reach areas during sinus surgery
The MicroFrance® Backbiting Forceps for sinus surgery provide an outstanding cutting edge, thin shaft, and strong cutting capability while working in the nasal cavity.
Trying to use a shaver on the uncinate process can be difficult, so these specialized backbiters allow a reverse approach when removing or making an opening in the uncinate process during sinus surgery. They also provide a better alternative to traditional backbiting forceps because of their special downward-sloping shaft.
Two adult and two pediatric sizes are available to accommodate various patient anatomies. The slim profile and tapered shaft design fit ideally into the middle meatus to aid in reducing trauma to the middle turbinates during sinus surgery procedures. One of the pediatric sizes features a distinctive gentle upward curved shaft for accessing difficult-to-reach areas of the sinus.
