Bio-Medicus® Multi-Stage Femoral Venous Cannulae with Percutaneous Kit
The Bio-Medicus Multi-Stage features multiple drainage ports allowing for optimal drainage of the entire venous circulation by accessing the SVC, atrium and the IVC. The extended length introducer with new, smoother transition zone promotes ease of percutaneous femoral vein cannulation and advancement through tortuous venous anatomy.
- Available in 19, 21 and 25 Fr. sizes to accommodate different patient size requirements.
- 60 cm tip length: accommodates femoral insertion of the cannula tip into the SVC with additional side holes distributed through the atrium and IVC.
- Extended length allows the introducer to follow the guidewire into the patient vasculature to aid in cannulae insertion.
- Depth marks on the introducer, allow the surgeon to visualize the length of the introducer beyond the tip of the cannulae body.
- Elongated taper allows the introducer to dilate the vessel over a longer distance during insertion.
- Multiple side holes provide additional sites for drainage, improving or maintaining blood flow.
- Use of additional dilator stretches tissue/vessel to approximate the cannula size.
Important Safety Information
Extreme caution should be exercised while introducing the cannulae into the coronary sinus. Do not force the cannulae into the coronary sinus as this may cause vessel damage. Additional care and caution may be necessary due to the unique adaptations required for minimally invasive techniques. Due to limitations of direct visualization during minimally invasive techniques, echocardiographic or fluoroscopic imaging is recommended.
