As a global leader in medical technology, services and solutions, Medtronic improves the health and lives of millions of people each year. Medtronic’s deep clinical, therapeutic and economic expertise can help address the complex challenges — such as rising costs, aging populations and the burden of chronic disease — faced by families and healthcare systems today.
Medtronic has been supporting the healthcare sector in the Middle East and North Africa for more than 30 years. In 2012, Medtronic has renewed its focus to meet the Middle East’s current and future healthcare needs. Since then, Medtronic has been committed to partnering in new ways to develop powerful solutions that deliver better patient outcomes. Partnering with Healthcare providers, Medtronic has been transforming Cathlabs and Operating Rooms and across the region to help provide balanced access and high-quality care.
Medtronic’s footprint in Middle East and North Africa now consists of over 500 employees, with main operations in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Algeria, Morocco and Pakistan. In addition, Medtronic partners with a network of more than 100 distributors to provide wider access to healthcare in the region.
To revolutionize access to world-class training and skills development across the region, Medtronic partnered with Sharjah University to launch Sharjah Surgical Institute in 2015. This purpose-built; integrated clinical training laboratory has trained thousands of physicians within its first 2 years of operation.
Building on our commitment to provide healthcare access for the underserved in our communities, Medtronic has been engaged in many philanthropic projects to provide lifesaving products, revamp hospital wards and partner with NGOs to advance healthcare research in Lebanon, Jordan and UAE.
