WHAT IS DBS?
A DBS device sends electrical signals within the brain that can block some of the messages that cause motor symptoms.
YOU MAY BE A CANDIDATE FOR DBS IF:
- You have chronic dystonia*
- You have been unable to successfully manage your symptoms with medication
- You have primary dystonia
- You are 7 years of age or older
