We realize that an application process can be challenging. In the career section of our website, we try to give you an inside-out perspective of how it is to work for Medtronic. Read our employee stories, learn more about our culture and navigate through our vacancies.
We would highly encourage you to create a JOB ALERT to stay up to date about new job openings which match your criteria.
Step 2:
APPLYING
Once you've identified an opportunity, create an account in our system and start the application process. You’ll have a chance to upload your resume/CV, and once your application is submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email. You can also check back to see the status of your application in our system.
Step 3:
SCREEN & ASSESS
Our Talent Acquisition team works diligently with hiring managers to assess the candidates for each job opening. If your application is selected, a member of our team will contact you for a preliminary conversation. This begins the dialog to explore the job requirements and how they align with your skills and goals.
Step 4:
INTERVIEWING
After the first screening, the recruiter – together with the hiring manager – will select the short list of candidates who will be invited for an interview. This follow-up interview is a two-way conversation between our internal interviewing team (most of the time, this is the hiring manager together with a hiring panel). Please prepare yourself to ask the questions that are important to you, and in return, expect to answer some questions from our side. We want to get to know you! However, it works both ways.
In general our interviews take 60 minutes and the setup of these interviews is:
general introduction;
your introduction;
in-depth questions about your experience, skills, competencies and goals;
questions and answers;
wrap-up, timelines and next steps.
Step 5:
INTERVIEW FEEDBACK & NEXT STEPS
After every interview round, the interviewing panel will evaluate the candidates and provide the feedback to the recruiter, who in turn will inform the candidates about our decision.
We believe that IN-DEPTH FEEDBACK on your interview and profile is crucial. Therefore, we ensure that the recruiter is equipped with the right information to share our decision in a professional and personal way. Please bear in mind that in case of a rejection, this does not necessarily mean that you do not qualify for the specific position. We keep your resume in our database, just in case it matches other opportunities in the future. However, to increase your chances of success, we recommend that you submit a separate application for each role that you are interested in. Next to that, we would recommend to create a JOB ALERT for future opportunities.
You can always request your personal information to be removed from our database.
Step 6:
OFFER & ONBOARDING
Our team works hard to ensure that we take the right hiring decision for you and for Medtronic. If you’ve successfully completed the interview process, and are elected as the candidate we would like to hire, you will receive an OFFER LETTER from our Talent Acquisition team. The letter will state how much time you have to respond, and how to accept or decline the offer. Click here if you already want to know more about our Benefits.
After your acceptance, our HR back office team will send you YOUR CONTRACT within approximately one week via email. As soon as you returned a signed copy, we will continue with the ONBOARDING PROCESS, to ensure that everything is set up correctly before your starting date.
