Medtronic Bangladesh started its direct operations in Bangladesh in the year 2012, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Medtronic Plc. Medtronic Bangladesh has 52 employees with its headquarters in Dhaka.

Medtronic Bangladesh has a full pledged warehouse with a stock of 15000 readily available products, which is located at Tejgaon, Industrial Area. The warehouse is strategically located at Tejgaon area to cover maximum area of Dhaka city to help our products reach our patients and partners in need.

Medtronic Bangladesh has also set up the first and only simulator aided Therapy and Procedure Training Center in Bangladesh as part of its commitment to enhance the skill set of healthcare professionals. The center provides hands-on training to cardiologists on implanting devices for the management of cardiac problems and also offers interactive case-based discussions with renowned faculty onboard.

Medtronic Bangladesh has trained more than 200 doctors on cardiac vascular, spinal, and diabetes therapies in the last five years, covering 30 hospitals across Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Khulna, Rangpur, Dinajpur, Bogra, Sirajgonj, Khulna, Jessore and other cities of Bangladesh. Programs are also designed for non-clinical stakeholders, such as policymakers, regulatory bodies, and insurance personnel who play a critical role in facilitating access to advanced medical technologies.

Our businesses primarily fall into four groups: 

  • CVG - The Cardiac and Vascular Group 
  • RTG - The Restorative Therapies Group
  • Diabetes - The Diabetes Group and
  • MITG - The Minimally Invasive Therapies Group

The Cardiac and Vascular Group encompasses Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure (CRHF), Coronary, Structural Heart and Arterial and Peripheral Vascular businesses; the Restorative Therapies Group includes Spine and Biologics, Surgical Technologies, Neuromodulation, and Neurovascular businesses; the Diabetes Group offers Insulin Pump Therapy and Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems (CGMS) and the Minimally Invasive Therapies Group comprises of Early Technologies, Advanced Surgical Technologies, and General Surgical Products, Medical Supplies, Respiratory and Monitoring Solutions, as well as Venous Solutions.
