Indications, Safety, and WarningsGE CARESCAPE™* CO₂ Microstream™ parameterIntended Use / Indications for useThe CARESCAPE™* CO2 - Microstream™ parameter, when connected to the host monitor, is intended to provide professionally trained health care providers with continuous, non-invasive measurement and monitoring of carbon dioxide (CO2) during the respiration cycle, EtCO2, FiCO2, and CO2-based respiration rate for adult, pediatric and neonatal patients, utilizing Microstream™ Advance CO2 sampling lines. The CARESCAPE™* CO2 - Microstream™ parameter is intended for use in hospitals, hospital-type facilities, during intra-hospital transport between and within areas of care.Warnings

The parameter device is MR Unsafe. The parameter device is not intended for use in an MRI environment.

The parameter device is not suitable for use in the presence of room air flammable anesthetic mixture with air, oxygen or nitrous oxide

The parameter device's mounting accessories are designed for use in health care facilities. They are not designed for use for ambulance and helicopter transport.

Cautions

Do not lift the parameter device by the sampling line. Do not pull the parameter device so that it becomes detached from the host monitor. After readjusting the position of the parameter device for any reason, ensure that it has not become detached from the host monitor

Then placing the parameter device into the cradle, ensure that the grey section of the parameter device, where the CO2 port is located, is facing upwards.

To ensure accurate performance and prevent device failure, do not expose the parameter device to extreme moisture, such as rain or dripping liquids
