Advantages of robotic-assisted surgery

Advances in technology and design are helping overcome barriers to adoption, says this MIT Technology Review white paper.

Robotic-assisted surgery (RAS) is on the verge of greater adoption, says an MIT Technology Review Insights paper, produced in association with Medtronic. Surgeons around the world are increasingly realising that RAS offers healthcare advantages — though there hasn’t been widespread adoption.
