Overview

Gain greater flexibility with the Microstream™ MicroPod™ external etCO2 module

The Microstream™ MicroPod™ external OEM module offers flexibility for OEM partners seeking to integrate market-leading Microstream™ capnography technology into a wide variety of existing medical devices.

The MicroPod™ external module configuration will help hospitals better manage their capital costs with a plug-and-play solution that can be shared between multiple devices that are MicroPod™-enabled.

MicroPod™ Microstream™ etCO2 technology is appropriate for medical devices, used on adult, pediatric and neonatal patients in a variety of care settings inside and outside the hospital — including patient monitors, defibrillators and ventilators.

Features

  • Measures etCO2, FiCO2, respiration rate
  • Clear, crisp CO2 waveforms, even in non-intubated patients
  • Highly accurate CO2 values, even in variable breathing conditions
  • Small, compact size; easily moves from room to room and patient to patient to connect to devices or during transport — without re-zeroing or recalibration
  • Uses Microstream™ MicroMediCO2™ board for rugged, reliable etCO2 technology implementations
  • Power and communication via one cable; low-power consumption
  • RS-232, USB communication interface
  • RoHS compliant
  • Full suite of Smart Capnography™ algorithms
    • Integrated Pulmonary Index™ (IPI), measuring adequacy of ventilation and oxygenation
    • Smart Breath Detection™ Algorithm (Smart BDA), mitigating the effects of artifact, enabling quality monitoring for non-intubated general care floor patients
    • Smart Alarm for Respiratory Analysis™ (SARA) to recognize and reduce nuisance alarms
    • Apnea-Sat Alert™ algorithm measures apneas per hour and oxygen desaturation index values—to identify and quantify apneas and oxygen desaturation events
  • etCO2 sampling solutions for all environments and patient populations
    • Adult, pediatric, neonate
    • Intubated (standard and high humidity)
    • Non-intubated (nasal, oral/nasal), with an option for O2 delivery, standard and high humidity
    • Smart CapnoLine™ guardian provides continuous nasal and oral CO2 monitoring and oral O2 delivery in upper endoscopy patients without compromise of patient position or endoscopic technique
  • Easy to integrate and versatile for all clinical applications and environments: procedural sedation, general care floor, ICU — ventilation management, weaning and post weaning ventilation monitoring, NICU, emergency department and prehospital EMS, resuscitation environment, sleep labs, cath labs
  • Flexible mounting solutions for a custom fit that meets host monitor or care area requirements
  • Three standard configurations, based on connector type: USB, Lemo, D Connector
  • Complete OEM integration kit and technical support
