Indications

Nexpowder™ is used for hemostasis of nonvariceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding.
Note: Do not use this device for any purpose other than the stated intended use.

Contraindications

1. Because Nexpowder™ includes lactose, this device is contraindicated in patients who have galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption and they would be at risk of having a nausea, bloating, and diarrhea.
2. Because Nexpowder™ includes Brilliant Blue FCF, the device must not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to Brilliant Blue FCF.
3. Nexpowder contraindicated for patients with suspected bowel obstruction, gastrointestinal fistulas and those suspected or are at high risk of having gastrointestinal perforation.
