Technology

Increase patient safety

Unlike any other high-efficacy hemostat, the Veriset™ patch is 100% free of human components² — eliminating the risk of viral transmission.

    1. Oxidized regnerated cellulose (Layer 1)

  • 3-D pattern allows for blood absorption
  • Known to promote hemostasis via a reduction in blood pH
  • Acts as a tamponade

    2. Trilysine (layer 2)

  • Combines with the PEG to form a hydrogel barrier

    3. Reactive polyethylene glycol (PEG) (Layer 3)

  • Propriety sealant technology
  • Effective barrier to blood flow
  • Adheres the patch to the bleeding site

Universal UseΩ

Effective in cases of inhibited coagulation and independent of clotting ability as shown in a pre-clinical study.³

    1. Placement

  • PEG side (darker) of the Veriset™ patch placed against the bleeding site2
  • Blood whisks into the patch and it becomes compliant

    2. Pressure

  • The oxidized regenerated cellulose within the patch absorbs blood and initiates the coagulation process by a reduction in blood pH

    3. Polymerization

  • Polymer components cross-link to form an impenetrable barrier (hydrogel).2 It then adheres to the bleeding site

    4. Hemostasis

  • Hemostasis is achieved in approximately ~2 minutes2,†

    5. Absorption

  • Veriset™ patch is fully absorbed in approximately 4 weeks²
