PTeye™ parathyroid detection system

The PTeye™ parathyroid detection system is an adjunctive tool to aid in the identification of visually suspected parathyroid tissue as granted by DEN17005.

Description

The PTeye™ parathyroid system uses near-infrared autofluorescence to confirm visually suspected parathyroid tissue.1 Native fluorescence, or autofluorescence (AF), is a phenomenon where there is emission of light in the UV-visible, near-IR spectral range when biological substrates are excited with light at a suitable wavelength.

Add to your visual identification of the parathyroid gland with the PTeye™ parathyroid detection system, providing real-time confirmation with up to 96% accuracy.1

Features

Parathyroid tissue can be difficult to distinguish visually from surrounding tissue during surgery. The PTeye™ parathyroid detection system uses a laser probe to elicit a fluorescent response from suspected parathyroid tissue.1

The PTeye™ parathyroid detection system can be used in thyroidectomy and parathyroidectomy procedures.

The PTeye™ system is an adjunctive tool intended to aid in the identification of parathyroid tissue by confirming parathyroid tissue already visually located by the surgeon.1
