Nasal packing
Novapak™ nasal sinus packing and stent

Novapak™ is a single use, sterile nasal packing and stent for use following sinus surgery designed to prevent adhesion and control mild bleeding.

Features
Supporting the healing process
The Novapak™ nasal sinus packing and stent is designed to:
- Support vital tissue structures and stabilization; the sponge maintains its integrity/form for 48 hours1
- Separate tissues and prevent adhesions between mucosal surfaces in the nasal cavity.1–3
- Control minimal bleeding following surgery or trauma by tamponade effect, blood absorption, and platelet aggregation.1–3 Novapak™ nasal sinus packing and stent can absorb up to 32 times its weight.1
- Act as an adjunct to aid in the natural healing process.1–3
Novapak™ nasal sinus packing and stent demonstrated antibacterial properties against 18 bacterial strains when tested in-vitro. In-vitro testing has also shown that Novapak™ nasal sinus packing and stent acts as a protective barrier by preventing bacterial growth through the hydrated sponge for a 72-hour period.1–3
Note: In vitro efficacy is not correlated to clinical effectiveness
Choosing the right post operative nasal packing for you and your patients matters. Unlike products that use synthetic materials, Novapak™ nasal sinus packing and stent contains chitosan and cellulose, which are derived from nature. Found in crustaceans and insects, chitosan has been clinically demonstrated to have hemostatic properties.4–7
