Scott Cundy
SVP & Chief Quality, Development, & Innovation Officer
Scott Cundy serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Quality, Development, & Innovation Officer at Medtronic and is a member of the Medtronic Executive Committee. In this role, he leads Global Quality, Product Development, and Innovation. Scott oversees the Medtronic Engineering and Innovation Center (MEIC) and driving enterprise-wide strategies to accelerate breakthrough technologies.
Scott collaborates across business groups and global regions to ensure quality and reliability throughout the product lifecycle—from development to end use. He sets the strategic direction for quality, development, and innovation by implementing company-wide policies and standards. His focus on design controls, execution excellence, and process optimization strengthens Medtronic’s ability to innovate boldly and deliver with impact.
With deep expertise in product development, quality, engineering, and regulatory affairs, Scott is a proven change agent known for fostering collaboration, driving accountability, and navigating complex challenges with integrity.
Before rejoining Medtronic, Scott served as Vice President of Quality, Regulatory, and Clinical at Danaher Corporation, where he led global compliance strategies and transformed these functions into competitive advantages. He previously spent a decade at Medtronic in leadership roles across the Cardiac and Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management businesses.
Scott holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.
