What is an insertable heart monitor?
Some information about your heart can only be found by watching it over time. If you have symptoms that may be caused by your heart, insertable heart monitors, also known as “insertable cardiac monitors (ICMs)” or “loop recorders,” can help your doctor diagnose and manage your condition.
An insertable heart monitor, such as the LINQ II™ ICM or Reveal LINQ™ ICM, is a small device placed just under the skin over the heart. It is not visible in most patients, and it can watch your heart for abnormal heartbeats 24/7 for up to 2.5–4.5 years.†
† Based on nominal settings.
Talk to your doctor about an insertable heart monitor.
If initial tests have not confirmed a diagnosis, your doctor may recommend an insertable heart monitor.
