GETTING STARTED WITH YOUR REVEAL LINQ ICM SYSTEM

Information on insertion and home setup for the Reveal LINQ™ Insertable Cardiac Monitoring System

GETTING STARTED WITH YOUR REVEAL LINQ SYSTEM

If you’re ready to move forward with the Reveal LINQ System, this is what you can expect to get the system up and running.

The Insertion Procedure

The Reveal LINQ ICM insertion procedure is performed in a hospital but it’s a simple and minimally-invasive procedure that can be done quickly.

  • A small incision — less than 1 cm — is made in the skin on your chest.
  • Using a specifically-designed tool, the Reveal LINQ ICM is inserted just under the skin.
  • Once in position, the insertion tool is removed and the incision is closed.

Following the insertion, your doctor will schedule regular, automatic data transmissions to take place during the time that you usually sleep.

At Home Setup

You’ll be provided a MyCareLink™ Monitor — a bedside unit that collects data from your Reveal LINQ ICM and makes it available to your doctor. It’s important to set it up as soon as you get home.
