Effective July 1, 2021, Medicare will require prior authorization (PA) for Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) percutaneous leads implanted during procedures performed in outpatient hospitals. This new requirement will necessitate physicians and hospitals to work together to get PA approval to avoid patient access disruptions. Are you ready?
