Social stigmas. High costs of coverage. Varying outcomes. Barriers like these can make treatment for obesity feel insurmountable for patients and doctors. Together, we can overcome them.

Better obesity care is why we work closely with global partners to overcome barriers to bariatric surgery — and to drive the adoption of it. Some of our current partners include:

• European Obesity Day (EOD), which brings together healthcare, patient, and political communities that are keen to raise awareness of obesity and the many other diseases it impacts
• The American Diabetes Association (ADA), which helps educate referring physicians and raises awareness of the value of bariatric surgery for patients with diabetes
• The International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO), a collaboration with likeminded partners involved in the education and information exchange around surgical treatment for morbidly obese patients
