To achieve durability, it’s important to maintain a proximal seal zone despite the movement of the aorta.
A continuous seal means that a consistent proximal seal zone is maintained throughout the entire cardiac cycle.
Why continuous seal matters
Achieving and maintaining a continuous seal is critical in TEVAR durability.3-6 Seal loss is the #1 cause for TEVAR reinterventions.5-7 Type I endoleak is the most common complication requiring secondary intervention following TEVAR.7-9
