Customer biomedical engineering staff who have previously attended the Puritan Bennett™ 980 ventilator five-day service seminar are eligible after 18 months to register for the service renewal seminar. Course content is designed to help you maintain this critical care life support device according to Medtronic-approved service requirements. This online renewal seminar is required every two years to provide the latest service protocols reflecting system enhancements.
Course curriculum
This course is conveniently available in an online, self-paced format. The training covers the following topics to promote ventilator performance and patient safety:
Participants should have a background in biomedical equipment technology. Previous experience with ventilator equipment service is beneficial.
Successful course completion will be determined through written tests and structured lab exercises. Participants will receive a certificate of completion if they attend the entire course and fulfill the competency requirements.
