APOLLO™ and MARATHON™ Microcatheters

The Marathon™ flow directed microcatheter was designed for the infusion of therapeutic agents such as embolization materials and contrast media in tortuous, distal vessels.1

The Apollo™ Onyx™ delivery microcatheter was expressly designed to access the neurovasculature for the controlled selective infusion of the Onyx™ liquid embolic system (LES).2

Overview

A proven platform

Excellent burst profile

Minimum static burst pressure of 150 PSI (after one hour of plug and push technique)3,4

Lubricious (PTFE) ID liner – from hub to tip5,6

For excellent guidewire interaction

Proximal pushability with stainless steel coil

High tensile strength for great catheter handling during navigation and catheter removal 3,4,7

Distal reinforcement with nitinol braiding8,9

Highly kink resistant and minimal ovalization ensures lumen durability

Apollo™ detachable tip12,13

The Apollo™ Onyx™ delivery micro catheter is designed to facilitate catheter retrieval in the event the catheter becomes entrapped within the vasculature. The distal section of the catheter incorporates a detachment zone that allows detachment of the distal tip when the force required to extract the catheter exceeds the force to detach the tip. The catheter has 2 radiopaque marker bands located proximal to the detach zone and at the distal end of the catheter to visualize the position of the catheter and the detach zone area.2
