Partnership Creates Meaningful Work for 35 People with Disabilities While Advancing Medtronic’s Climate Goals
Medtronic, a global leader in healthcare technology, has partnered with Hoxton Industries, a not-for-profit social enterprise, to drive sustainability and create meaningful social impact. Through this innovative collaboration, 35 individuals with disabilities have gained access to rewarding, purpose-driven work while contributing to the circular economy.
At Hoxton, employees recycle and repurpose medical equipment into materials such as construction materials and even car parts. These efforts directly support Medtronic’s ambitious climate goals of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 and net zero emissions by 2045, while simultaneously fostering inclusion and empowerment.
Since the partnership began nearly three years ago, the results have been remarkable:
“Walking through Hoxton, you can feel the positive energy and the drive to make a difference,” says Omar Sarwary Medtronic Customer Care and Order Operations Director shared.
As Medtronic continues its journey toward sustainability, the partnership with Hoxton serves as a powerful model of what can be achieved through collaboration, innovation, and shared values.
