Our Puritan Bennett™ 980 ventilator includes an integrated nebulizer option. Nebulization is an inhalation therapy drug delivery approach used for the treatment of respiratory illnesses, including cystic fibrosis, asthma, bronchiolitis, and COPD.
The integrated nebulizer option for the Puritan Bennett™ 980 ventilator is designed to power and control the Aerogen™* nebulizer to deliver physician-prescribed solutions to patients.
This option allows clinicians to set, start, extend, and stop timed nebulization cycles directly on the ventilator’s user interface ― while eliminating the need for the external controller and power supply.
Both intermittent and continuous nebulization options are available. The Aerogen™* Solo is intended for single-patient use; the Aerogen™* Pro† is intended for multiple-patient use.
Use of the integrated nebulizer does not require oxygen or additional air flow. It does not interfere or change the ventilator parameters and does not set off any ventilator alarms.
Patient lives depend on ventilators to perform at their best. But staying on top of maintenance and repairs may have you struggling to keep up. In this blog, you’ll discover how our Puritan Bennett™ 980 ventilator service solutions can help.
