Liberant™ thrombectomy system

The Liberant™ device is an ultrasonic-controlled thrombectomy system for use in the peripheral arterial and venous vessels.

Indication

The Liberant™ thrombectomy system is indicated for the removal of fresh, soft emboli or thrombi from the vessels of the peripheral arterial and venous systems.

Product details

Learn about the Liberant™ system.

Precision you can feel in your thrombectomy procedures.

An intuitive, adaptive, and comprehensive thrombectomy system

This system includes a catheter, dilator, and clotbuster — all in one set. The pump and BCU come as capital components to be used case after case.

Adapts to real data in real time

The BCU features an ultrasonic sensor that directly measures blood flow. Next, an intelligent algorithm automatically adapts the pulse rate to provide appropriate aspiration power, with two modes available.

 1. Hybrid coil design
 2. Clotbuster assists with fragmentation of thrombus and clearing of the catheter lumen if blocked
 3. Dilator offers support during delivery of the catheter and minimizes vessel wall trauma while advancing to the site of the thrombus
 4. Angled tip

Frequently asked questions

Thrombectomy is a procedure to remove a blood clot (called a thrombus) from a blood vessel. Blood clots can block the flow of blood, which can be dangerous and even life-threatening if not treated quickly.

The Liberant™ device is the sole thrombectomy system that uses ultrasonic control. It dynamically adjusts the aspiration power in real time based on the blood flow measurements obtained directly from its ultrasonic sensor.

The BCU, part of the Liberant™ thrombectomy system, features an ultrasonic sensor that measures blood flow directly and processes data in real time with an intelligent algorithm. This enables the pinch valve to open and close, adjusting the aspiration power dynamically.

The BCU has two operating modes:

 • Standard mode is used to minimize blood loss by maintaining a lower pulse rate.
 • Boost mode is used for procedural efficiency by allowing an increased pulse rate.

Risks include, but are not limited to, embolization, hemorrhage, thrombosis, and vessel damage.

Capital components

 • Blood conservation unit and Riptide™ aspiration pump

Disposable components
