Hugo™ RAS system
From the beginning, our mission has been to help you extend the benefits of minimally invasive surgery to more patients, while striving to make RAS more operationally and economically sustainable. Today, we're charting a new course in robotic surgery with the Hugo™ robotic-assisted surgery (RAS) system.
Knowing that a robotics program is a major investment of time, money, and resources, we took a surgeon-centric, collaborative approach to designing the Hugo™ robotic-assisted surgery (RAS) system — creating a system that’s flexible, accessible, and built with your real-world needs in mind.

Hugo’s modular arm cart is designed for flexibility. It lets you customize your set up based on your preferred technique for each procedure and the patient’s anatomy. The innovative modular architecture means the arms can be easily moved, shared, and deployed throughout the hospital — helping to maximize utilization.

It’s time to shift your view inside the OR. The Hugo™ RAS system’s open console lets surgeons:

The Hugo™ RAS tower is the central processing unit for the robotic system and the interface between the robotic console and arm carts. It brings together the world-class surgical technologies of KARL STORZ™* imaging and the advanced Valleylab™ FT10 energy platform.
The Hugo™ RAS tower provides:

The Touch Surgery™ ecosystem gives you data before and after your Hugo™ RAS system case. You can easily reflect on your performance, review footage and key metrics, and collaborate with your team or peers. Touch Surgery™ Live Stream, our advanced streaming technology, facilitates both intraoperative coaching from peers and broadcasting capabilities.
The Hugo™ RAS system offers nine compatible wristed instruments — including monopolar and bipolar options, needle drivers, and graspers — giving surgeons the flexibility they need. Plus, we offer disposable and reusable trocars, so you can choose what works best for your procedure.
The EVA15 Insufflator and smoke evacuation system allows intelligent, leak-tolerant, constant-pressure insufflation during laparoscopic, robotic, and endoscopic surgery.2
Your success is our mission. We partner with you to understand your vision and support growth. You’ll have a dedicated team — including engineers for technical support and a start-up specialist who helps guide setup, training, and early procedures. Together, we’ll help bring your vision to life — inside and outside the operating room.
With our ASCEND pathway, you can trust that your entire team will be ready to go for your first case. Our curriculum is grounded in proficiency-based progression throughout the journey. That means trainees don’t just complete the course; they must demonstrate proficiency at each step before moving on to the next.
