BLOOD PRESSURE PROCEDURE
The renal denervation blood pressure procedure may help reduce high blood pressure (hypertension),1–3 which is shown to lower your risk of heart attacks, strokes, and other serious health problems.4
Reducing blood pressure by 10 mmHg can lower risk of:
heart failure4
↓28%
cardiovascular events4
↓20%
stroke4
↓27%
While it may not affect how many medications are required, the renal denervation blood pressure procedure may help reduce high blood pressure without the need to add extra medications to a daily regimen5,6
It can help achieve long-term reductions without some of the side effects that may be associated with medications5,6
The renal denervation blood pressure procedure can help people who are concerned about the health risks of high blood pressure and are interested in all the available treatment options.

blood pressure reduction in a three-year study of people who received the renal denervation blood pressure procedure, who were also on medications5
The decision whether or not to have the renal denervation blood pressure procedure is made jointly by the patient and their medical team. The medical team may include a General Practitioner (GP), a specialist doctor such as a cardiologist or renal physician, and the doctor who will perform the procedure (the proceduralist).
The renal denervation blood pressure procedure, just like any medical procedure, has risks. Clinical studies show that these risks and side effects are rare5, however, it's important to talk with your doctor about the benefits and risks.
