Franciacorta Healthcare Group

Lombardy, Italy

The Franciacorta Healthcare Group in Northern Italy is a consortium of six hospitals that together perform nearly 9,000 cardiovascular procedures annually. An aging patient population and other factors were increasing demand for cardiac care, so these hospitals were struggling to not only serve their patients but also keep costs under control.

Through a unique public tender process, Medtronic IHS partnered with each hospital individually, with solutions that freed up staff time and maximized their resources so they could focus more on patient care. In addition, this partnership has led to new, state-of-the-art cath labs at two hospitals and an advanced hybrid OR at another.

The introduction of the stock control system made order management more efficient, improved nursing workload quality, and reduced procurement downtime. In addition, the daily presence of IHS staff helped us optimize our resources and be more precise and punctual in checking material and carrying out orders. We really appreciated IHS’ professionalism in solving problems and positively influencing our team.”
