Information on Educational Grants made to Healthcare Organizations in MedTech Europe
Transparency is a core Medtronic value. As reflected in Tenet 3 of our Mission, we are committed not only to maintaining the highest standards of quality and reliability in our products, but also to being recognized as a responsible, trustworthy, and ethical partner in the healthcare community. Consistent with this commitment, Medtronic supports industry initiatives that promote transparency around Educational Grants provided to healthcare organizations (HCOs) and professional conference organisers (PCOs).
Beginning in 2027, Medtronic will annually disclose Educational Grants in accordance with the MedTech Europe Code of Ethical Business Practice. The first disclosure, covering the 2026 calendar year, will be published by 31 August 2027.
The MedTech Europe disclosure framework covers the following countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.
The following countries are currently out of scope due to specific national transparency requirements: Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Romania.
Educational Grants are financial or in-kind contributions provided to HCOs to support genuine medical education. The categories are:

A methodology note is published alongside the data, providing detailed information on the approach used, including data collection, aggregation, valuation, and currency conversion principles.
